Temple Beth Emet moved from its Emily Street location in downtown Anaheim to its present location at 1770 W. Cerritos Avenue in 1963. Situated on a five-acre site, Temple facilities include meeting rooms, classrooms, a youth lounge, and a social hall (available for private functions).

Temple Beth Emet has a outstanding library of Judaica, considered to be among the finest in Orange County. It features Jewish literature serving early childhood, adolescence, and adult reading interests.

Temple Adat Shalom Background

Temple Adat Shalom ("Community of Peace") is the Reform Synagogue serving the North County Inland area of San Diego. 40 families formed the Temple in 1974. It moved to its current site in Poway, CA in 1980. The current Temple building was completed in 1988.

Congregation Montefiore

Las Vegas, New Mexico

A pamphlet in the UA Library's Special Collections tells an historic story of the founding of the Montefiore cemetery in Las Vegas, New Mexico, in 1881 by Jewish pioneers. The cemetery is described as a mute testimony of Jewish presence in New Mexico since the European colonization in the 1500's. The story is told in photographs.
